HIFU HIBONIC DOUBLE-V
HIFU ( High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a technology that has been known in medicine for over 20 years, and recently also found application in aesthetic gynaecology.
High intensity ultrasound of a focused ultrasound beam that works selectively at a depth of 1.5 – 4.5 mm of the vaginal wall has the final thermal effect similar to that of CO2 laser, but offers greater penetration into the tissue.
What does the procedure involve?
During the procedure, ultrasound causes particles to vibrate leading to friction and increase in the temperature of the target area to 60-70 degrees Celsius. The tissue effect is collagen denaturation at the first stage, followed by neocollagenesis as a result of stimulation of fibroblasts to produce new collagen. The procedure is painless, non-invasive, does not cause bleeding and does not require anaesthesia.
What is the effect of the procedure?
According to patients’ self-assessment, the effect of the procedure is an improved elasticity of the vagina, better quality of sexual life and an improved urine continence function. The full effect of the procedure occurs after 6 weeks, which results from stimulated neocollagenesis processes.
Indications for the procedure:
- loose vagina
- stress urinary incontinence
- urogenital atrophy
For increased effectiveness in the therapy for stress urinary incontinence, it is advisable to combine HIFU treatments and a laser.
Who performs the procedure?
Holistic Clinic hires the most prominent specialists in the field of gynaecology, aesthetic gynaecology and plastic surgery in Poland.
