pH-formula is a multi-layered resurfacing program. It stimulates cellular restructuring and remodeling. It contains a unique composition of acids, vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, trace elements and anti-inflammatory agents. Those substances are used in esthetic medicine, cosmetology, cosmetics, but they also help achieve controlled chemical skin restructuring and maximize active substance dose without any negative side effects.
pH-formula is available at 3 degrees of action selected individually depending on the depth of lesions and skin tolerance:
mild – acts at epidermis
intensive – acts at superficial dermis
medical – acts at deep dermis

What does the proce
dure look like?

pH-formula Mela peel is a medical exfoliating product. It contains active substances such as: salicylic acid, phytic acid, mandelic acid, azeloglicina and lactobionic acid. A unique ingredient is PH-DVC complex (medium) used to increase active substance penetration. When applied to the skin, it may cause some irritation. For this reason, it is not a recommended treatment for sensitive and couperose-prone skin. It is carried out when sunlight is not very intensive.

How does the procedure go?

On a prepared skin (cleansed by mild exfoliation initiating resurfacing process), one or several layers of chemical peel are applied depending on the patient’s skin characteristic and type of skin problem. The peel is left on the skin for 30 to 45 minutes on average, depending on the problem and patient’s skin sensitivity.
The patient can experience pins and needles, burning or tight skin sensation.

What are indications for the procedure?

  • Discoloration
  • Actinic keratosis
  • Post-inflammatory discoloration

What results can I expect afterwards?

When repeated on a regular basis, this treatment causes skin thinning, regulates pigment production and has strong whitening properties. It inhibits the enzyme called tyrosinase in melanocytes and by doing so it regulates melanogenesis, which can lead to discoloration when excessive.

How many sessions are needed for the expected results?

In order to achieve the optimal results, a series of minimum 5 sessions at 14- to 21-day intervals is recommended. The outcome is individual.

What care does my skin need afterwards?

Immediately after the procedure, irritation and redness can be observed, which usually fade away within a few hours. After a couple of days, the skin starts to peel in a natural way, you should wait out this process and do not enhance it by any exfoliating products. In order to ease skin tightness and burning, a thick layer of post-treatment products should be applied. On the first day after the procedure, do not use any make-up. You should avoid sun exposure and tanning booths for 4 weeks, as well as use sunscreen (min. 30 SPF) and comply to your cosmetologist’s recommendations on skin care.
