What is mons pubis lipolysis?
Injection lipolysis consists of modelling the intimate area by reducing the excess adipose tissue of the mons pubis. The procedure of reducing the excess adipose tissue of the mons pubis is carried out using the method of mesotherapy.
What does the procedure involve?
The doctor disinfects and locally anaesthetises the mons pubis area. They inject a preparation containing phosphatidylcholine and/or deoxycholic acid into the treatment areas leading to breakdown of fat cells. The procedure is painless.
What are the indications for the procedure?
The procedure is recommended to patients with a very prominent mons pubis (e.g. after a fast weight loss).
Contraindications for the procedure include:
- severe infections of intimate areas
- menstrual disorders
- auto-immune diseases
- severe liver diseases
- kidney diseases
- blood coagulation disorder
What effects can be expected after the procedure?
Spectacular effects occur after a series of 2 treatments. Conditions such as mild bruises, redness, oedema or itching following the procedure usually subside within 4-5 days.
How many treatments are required to achieve the desired effect?
It is recommended to have 2-4 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. Over 80% of patients are satisfied with the effects already after 2 treatments. The cost of the therapy depends on the number of administered ampoules of the preparation. Usually, 1-2 ampoules are applied to the mons pubis area.
